ABOUT ME

I’ve been designing since I was a kid, creating and recreating character sheets for my halfiing rogue in Dungeons and Dragons, trying to get the information organized just right and making up new fantasy fonts.

Many years later, I worked Off- and Off-Off-Broadway, at times as an actor, but primarily as a writer. Through my writing I learned how to put myself in other people’s shoes, empathizing with their points of view.

As an Art Director for a large publishing company, I learned the subtle (and not-so-subtle) arts of management, gained client-facing experience, and how to create a clear workflow, as I was responsible for over 75 titles a year.

General Assembly’s User Experience Design Immersive kicked off my UX career. There, I learned processes and what tools to use, about the importance of research and testing.

I have spent the past eight years implementing these techniques and learning from those around me, honing my knowledge of information architecture, leading workshops and product discoveries.

When I’m not working you can find me hiking the trails of New Jersey with my wife and two kids, baking envy-worthy chocolate chip cookies, reading, writing, or playing boardgames with my friends.
